The Uluru Tour Day 1 - Kings Canyon (Watarrka Nat. Park NT - 17/01)
Here we come, the sisters Schramm visit the center of Australia.
My sister Sandy spent 4 weeks of holidays in Down Under and the last week we
booked our place in the famous Rock Tour.
Meeting point was Melbourne from where we flew together to Alice Springs and
started our adventure on Sunday 17.01.2010. Three days of visiting the
spiritual center of Australia lay ahead of us... The first day we climbed
the Kings Canyon.

Trowunna Wildlife Park (Mole Creek TAS - 01/01/2010)
The Wallabies in the wildlife park are used to people and you can feed them, sit close to them and even touch them. This one here liked to be scratched on the neck.
During our visit in the park we attended a wombat & tasmanian devil tour which was great.
Below you see a small baby wombat of 7 months.
And here we are with his slightly :-) bigger friend. This one is 2 years old and around 15 kilo.
The famous Tasmanian Devil has the size of a small dog and he is stocky and very muscular.
It is characterized by its black fur, pungent odour when stressed, extremely loud and disturbing screech, and ferocity when feeding.
